The Yacht Week is the unique floating festival that takes you on a trip  through crystal waters and first-rate party spots, putting quality music  at the heart of an incredible travel experience.

All young, adventurous travellers looking ahead to next summer and  planning their holidays will be delighted to hear that Yacht Week 2021  has announced bookings are open. It’s the ideal opportunity to not only  book the trip of a lifetime, but also to book something to look forward  to in the current doom and gloom.

The Ski Week’s tagline is, literally, “Not Everyone Can Ski, but  Everyone Can Après Ski.” So, even if you’ve spent your entire life in  Florida, you’ll still likely have the best week of your life.

A little more about us

William met Erik while skippering for Navigare Yachting. The duo soon realised they could do the same on their own and revolutionise sailing. ‘Sailin’ Croatia’ was born. After gathering a few friends at each respective Universities, rumours of a summer sailing event spread fast. The first-ever event had 27 yachts on the water.

As the rumours of an incredible sailing event in Croatia spread, Johan and Ludvig joined to help build the website and booking system. 57 yachts sailed together in Croatia.

As the number of participants grew, a business had to be created and the event changed name. The Yacht Week was born. Norway saw its first yacht on the water and The Yacht Week had become a Scandinavian event. 75 yachts spread out on two weeks.

More countries joined the events and soon there was not enough space in the initial 3 weeks planned. One more week in Croatia was added and a new destination was added. Greece launched with 20 yachts and a total of 220 yachts sailed that summer. On the 10th November 2009, the first TYW trailer was launched, accumulating 100,000 international views in just one month. The news hit America. 

William dropped out of college. With the website being in English it only made sense to move to London town. Johan also moved to London, with the London team expanding to 5 with George and Emma joining. Greece expanded to two weeks. Croatia continued to grow. The summer of 2010 saw a total of 431 yachts across over 20 / nationalities.

We launched a new year event in the British Virgin Islands and a summer event in Ibiza. With yacht numbers still growing exponentially, with over 700 on the water that year.

We ventured to the exquisite Aeolian islands in Italy for the first time to hike volcanos and sail through the crystal blue waters. The route was a huge success, some could say a slice of paradise. 

That same summer, the first circle raft was born by a young skipper named Leo. He sneaked in external speakers and a smoke machine... his very own words ‘the party was next level’.

Yachts for the year in total reached 930.

We launched our first route in Thailand. We also acquired Fort George, a 200-year-old Fort in Croatia, as one of our venues. We launched Yachts and Friends. Total yachts for the year: 1109

The Ski Week was born after many guests asking for something to do during the winter. We officially launched The Ski Week, taking 400 of our community to onto the slopes. Meanwhile, on The Yacht Week, a total of 1250 yachts sailed with us.

We launched a route in Turkey. We have not been able to return due to political turmoil but rest assured we will be back there as soon as we can. Total yachts for the year were up to 1354.

We launched our first route in Rhodes. We celebrated our 10th Anniversary with one of the best parties ever, a Black Tie event at the In&Out Club in London. We also had our biggest ever guest yacht on route, a Jeanneau 64, the floating palace. We released Live The Yacht Week, it reached 5.6M views in a year.

This was our biggest year to date. We launched both Majorca and Montenegro. We succeeded in creating 5 circle rafts in one bay and the biggest tunnel raft ever with 176 yachts at Luka Tiha Bay in Starigrad Croatia.

We launched The Buzz Boat in Croatia, powered by Void Acoustics. We also reached 300,000 followers on Facebook.

We stepped things up a gear and had the biggest music line up ever. This included collabs with Mixmag and Ministry of Sound bringing us the likes of Gorgon City, Mark Knight, and many more.

Needless to say, 2020 was a tough year for everyone. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic we were unable to run our full season. But against all odds, we managed to get a single week out on the water in Croatia and it was one to be remembered by all.
